 4th Annual Dinner, Auction & After Party! Thank you to everyone who made this year's KEENGala a huge success! On Friday, September 30th, 148 guests joined us in celebrating our 5th birthday at the JW Marriott in Union Square for KEENGala 2011. The Event: KEEN San Francisco hosted community members, business leaders and volunteers at KEENGala, a dinner and auction event held each fall to increase awareness, raise funds and honor volunteers and organizations who have been outstanding supporters of KEEN.  Why: KEEN is a nonprofit organization that provides one-to-one recreational coaching to nearly 100 children and young adults with more profound and severe mental and physical disabilities. KEEN offers recreational programs of Sports, Basketball and swimming known as KEENquatics on weekends throughout the year. At each session a volunteer coach is paired with a KEEN athlete enabling every KEEN child and young adult to participate, regardless of the extent of their disability. Starting this fall, KEEN will expand to a new location serving more families in a new neighborhood in the San Francisco area for more young people with disabilities.  Last year, thousands were raised at KEENGala to support these programs. Proceeds from KEENGala 2011 will be used to defray the costs of the facility rentals and equipment for all of our programs and to continue to keep our programs free-of charge to the families of our athletes.Sponsorship: Levels are available ranging from $10,000 to $1,500. The Auction: Jewelry, sports memorabilia, tickets to sporting and cultural events, out-of-town escapes, unique experiences, family outings and activities and dining at area restaurants will be featured in the auction with more than 100 items. Program Book: Acknowledgement or congratulatory messages ranging in size from business card to full page are available in the KEENGala Program Book, distributed to more than 150 guests at the event.
